The goal of the Media Communications Program is to prepare students for traditional and emerging video technology industries; to provide a safe environment for students to learn and engage in the material; to link students to post-secondary and industry opportunities and to stay current and connected with those entities; to build student confidence and competency with video technologies in order to produce a polished, effective and informative media product. Skills that students learn in this program translate to the film and web industries as well. Students are building the media and graphic skills needed to become tomorrow’s Television and Video Director’s, Producers, Videographers, Lighting Designers and Video Editors. Television and Video Production is a rapidly growing field that offers careers in news, commercial, studio, free-lance and documentary production.
